Closed-door long-term care pharmacy · Columbia, SC

Filling the prescription is the easy part.

Any pharmacy can dispense. Getting it onto tomorrow’s morning med pass anywhere in South Carolina, working your insurer for coverage, and warning you before an expensive non-covered medication lands — that is the part we have spent twenty years on.

The short version

Your residents aren’t a side business.

Retail chains fit facilities in around the counter. We have never had a counter. Here is what “closed-door” actually changes for you.

  • 01

We do not serve the public

Nobody walks in off the street. There is no queue at the counter competing with your order, and no retail staffing model deciding how much attention your census gets.

  • 02

Packaging is built for a med pass

Multi-dose blister cards and time-stamped pouches, sorted by resident and by pass time. Not thirty amber vials your nurse has to sort at the cart.

  • 03

We bill the way facilities need

Cycle fill on your schedule, consolidated statements, and full transparency. No surprises at month end.

  • 04

Clinical support is part of the service

Regimen reviews, interaction checks and consultant pharmacist visits are included, not a separate line item you have to source elsewhere.

“Palmetto Rx Solutions has been an awesome company for our agency. I can truthfully say that if there is a problem, they go above and beyond to fix it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better pharmacy to work with.”

Our own drivers, our own routes

Order today. On the cart for tomorrow’s morning med pass.

Anywhere in South Carolina. Not a parcel service, not a contractor — our couriers, running our routes, every day.

1

Night, not a week

An order placed today is at your facility in time for the morning pass. That is the standard, not the exception we make for emergencies.

Counties covered

The whole state, on scheduled routes out of Columbia. Distance does not change what you get.

24/7

For everything else

Outside the schedule there is a pharmacist on call who can coordinate a first dose locally and have our own delivery resume the next business day.

The part nobody advertises

We fight your insurer so you don’t have to.

Most of what a pharmacy saves a facility never shows up on an invoice. It happens in the hours between the order and the delivery, and you only notice it when a pharmacy stops doing it.

  • 01

We maximize coverage before we bill

Every claim gets worked before it goes out. If a medication can be covered, we find the route that covers it rather than billing you the cash price and moving on.

  • 02

    We start the prior authorization

PAs are where medications get stuck for days. We initiate them, chase the prescriber, and follow through, rather than sending the problem back to your nurse.

  • 03

    We chase the refills

Running out is a scheduling failure, not an emergency. We track what is due and pursue the prescriber before a resident is short.

  • 04

We warn you before an expensive one lands

If a medication is not covered and it is going to be costly, you hear about it in advance and get to decide. Nobody at Palmetto Rx has ever thought a surprise on an invoice was good business.

  • 05

We do not mark up non-covered items

No inflated cash pricing on the things insurance will not touch. What we pay is close to what you pay, because the relationship is worth more than the margin.

By the numbers

Nobody notices a good pharmacy.

No missed doses, no six o’clock scramble, no sorting vials at the cart. Twenty years of being unremarkable, entirely on purpose.

2006

The year we started

Serving intellectual and developmental disability providers in the South Carolina Midlands. We have not stopped since.

Counties within reach

Our own courier network covers South Carolina. Not a parcel service, not a contractor — our drivers, on our routes.
